mail is an awareness campaign on cruel stepmother attitude of
central Govt. towards our motherland Orissa
Dear Odia brothers and sisters,
In the recent episode of crude corrupted India centric parliamentary
politics, now it's Shibu Soren of Jharkhand
started blackmailing UPA Govt. to merge three districts Mayurbhanj,
Keonjhar and Sundergarh from Orissa with Jharkhand to form greater
Jharkhand state, else he along with his handful of JMM MPs wouldn't
have voted in favor of Sri. Manmohan Singh during trust vote.
This is really not acceptable to any Odia on earth. First of all
Orissa had been demanding the merger of Sareikala and Kharsuan, the
two areas originally belonging to Orissa that has been snatched by
them since the formation of our state in 1930s, ignoring that how
can UPA Govt. listen to such baseless demands only for a trust Vote.
We all know this trust vote was won by openly buying MPs with bribes
of 3 crores each, Promises of cabinet position and ministries to
MPs. Jharkhand CM Shibu Soren Particularly asked for Coal ministry
in return to his trust vote.
This whole incident was strongly protested by political parties,
intellectuals, organizations including BJP, BJD, Agami Orissa, All
Oriya portals and everyone related to Orissa . This demand by Shibu
soren breaks the brotherhood of the people in Orissa by shattering
our common culture through this move, but we will never let them
succeed in their efforts.
A brief introduction of Shibu Soren
:
1. The current CM of Jharkhand, Shibu Soren murdered of his private
secretary Shashinath Jha in 1994 after slamming the CBI for failing
"miserably" in getting evidence against the tribal leader. Thus
being a celebrity convict, From that point of considered crime, he
went on to secure more political plums and a Cabinet berth in the
Central ministry.
2. Shibu Soren and his 5 JMM MPs are willing vote for American
nuclear deal with 13 point conditions of their interest to be
favored by UPA Govt. Hats off to the label of their politics.
3. Four JMM MPs (including Shibu Soren) had received cash to the
tune of Rs 1.62 crore to help the Narasimha Rao government defeat a
no-confidence motion. And more surprisingly In 2000, a trial court
made history by convicting former PM Narasimha Rao for giving the
bribe, and not Shibu Soren for accepting the same.
