Jaya Jagannath,
Sri
Jagannath Temple Trust invites all of you to "Sri Deba Snana Purnima",
the most spectacular bathing ceremony of Lord Jagannath that will be
held on 18th of June Wednesday at 10 AM morning.
Please come and be privileged with giving bath to the deities by
pouring waterful holy Sankalpa Pitcher ( Kumbha ) personally. Be one
among those 108 early comers to bath Lord Jagannath, Devi Subhadra
and Lord Balabhadra with water from holy pitchers. Snana Purnima is
the day the deities are bathed with 108 pitchers of water and then
dress up in the Gajanana or Ganesha Vesha. This is the only day when
even their daily food offering or Bhogalagi is done in full public
view on the Snanamandapa. Their remains no virtual difference
between the devotees and their Lord.
After the holy bath as per tradition, Lord Jagannath Will fall sick
and will be concealed inside a closed room ( Anasara Ghara ) for 15
days till Rath Yatra. Hence please come and enjoy participating the
Jala Abhisheka ritual at Sri Jagannath Temple and have the last
darshan of Lord Jagannath.
