Quarterly Magazine on behalf of Sri
Jagannath Temple: With a plan to release a quarterly magazine series
on behalf of Sri Jagannath Temple, Bangalore that will be serve as a
token of face value for the Temple, we are planning to release the
first count of it during fourth quarter this year. We request a major
participation of all of you in this crusade. As this temple belongs to
all the mankind, all of us, all of you and everyone, let us come
together and create a souvenir with the best impression of our pen and
brain. Please take your own time and help us with
1. A name for this quarterly journal that will best suit to Lord
Jagannath’s social life style and richness of his cultural ethnic.
2. A brief editorial note from Sri Jagannath Temple, depicting what is
our objective behind this mega structure on earth, our road map down
the line and plans on desk.
3. A content page to help navigate the reader.
4. Few articles each being max of a page or two with amazing and
incredible facts and figures on Sri Jagannath Culture, his rituals,
Some unique experiences with Lord Jagannath, Some memorable moments of
his grace and divine, Importance of Lord Jagannath in modern society,
Cultural heritage of Orissa.
5. Around 5 short poems, bhajans, Slokas or rare snaps of Lord
Jagannath and his attires.
6. Rare snaps of Lord Sri Jagannath Temple construction in a
chronological order from the time of Bhoomi puja, completion of ground
floor , first roofing, second roofing, Stone carving etc.
7. Two group snaps ( one snap will be of the people who are involved
in making the temple since beginning, another wide screen group snap
of our all pioneer life members ). These snaps will be our priceless
memories for ever. We will also put a framed, laminated life size of
these two snaps in either sides of the temple after completion.
We request everyone to please come up with unique ideas to make this
first edition an everyone’s memory for ever. The first edition copy
should be worth of being appreciated world over. Let s make the first
edition of this magazine an outstanding one. In a nutshell the content
should be catering to everyone’s interest, expectation.
Artifacts received from people will be scrutinized by all the authors
and the best of the ones will be placed in the first edition. You can
also send us articles written by anyone else from your family and
friend circle. if the article is hand written, we request you to
please care for readability and scratches before faxing it. To
