The most awaited
world famous Rath Yatra of Lord Sri Jagannath will be celebrated
with full scale chariot this year at Bangalore. Thus at last Bangalore
too joins as 1374th to the club of cities in the world that being away
from Orissa celebrates Rath Yatra, a festival that binds together
hearts of all hindu devotees of the world with the threads of love and
universal brotherhood.
Rath Yatra 2008 Updates :
1. Chariot designing, wood work & carving has started for Rath Yatra
2008 with Traditional rituals and "Homa" 7th April.
2. Wood Logs are cut and provided as per measurements given by Chariot
designers and carpenters.
3. Rath yatra Celebration, Chariot Construction and all related
expenditures is being contributed by Temple Committee members only.
Not a single rupee being spent from Sri.
Jagannath Temple Construction account. All Rath yatra
expense are contributed by Committee members.
4. The chariots are being constructed by core competence experienced
and traditional chariot makers of Puri, Orissa. As they have to start
chariot construction work at Puri from Akshya Tritiya, they are going
to finish our Chariot work along with trial run and durability testing
before that.

Jagannatha", we are able to accumulate another fair amount of
contribution during the month of March 2008. Online transfer
details are not included as from our bank account statement we can
only collect the account numbers from which fund is transferred and
not the account holder's name. There are even quite a number of
entries related to collections done by volunteers that's not included
here as few volunteers have not yet deposited their collections for
the month of March.

Balabhadra and all Sri Jagannath community, requesting you to come
forward and participate in Sri. Jagannath Temple construction. There
is a once in life time opportunity for you to be a patron life
member for life time at Sri. Jagannath Temple Bangalore, A real
life man of the match for this noble project, An icon of remembrance
for generations to come. The Temple is estimated at 80 Lakhs and we
require just 800 life members more to join us. If as of now you can't
afford to be a life member, then please donate as per your wish and be
a significant member to our team.
