"Ratha Jatra Odisha ra kebala eka anyatama
Parba nuhain, Eha ama Odia Jatira Garba ebon Gauraba, Biswa Darabara
re eha ama sanskuti ra Pratika, Dhara prustha re ama matrubhumi ra
Parichaya patra".
Rath Yatra is not just another festival of Orissa, rather it is the
pride of Our motherland, An aristocrat Identity of our rishy rich
culture at the global platform, the symbolical icon of our culture,
An emblem of our community, Logo of our social celebrity. A
celebration that swells our chests and raises our heads with Pride
and significance at the world forum.
In a rapidly westernizing civilization, today’s
youth, the ambassadors of extreme modern society are acutely
contaminated with an improper protocol, thus disconnected far from
minimum proficiency benchmark of cultural etiquette. Today Customs,
cultural values, rituals and religious festivals are losing their
identity. A bulk of the society runs behind westernization and
remaining small chunk strive to sustain with their socio cultural
sanctity. A threat treatment preventionary measure would be to
constantly serve the society with essence and fragrance of our
culture and custom. Lord Jagannath and Sri Jagannath culture being
indigenous to our motherland Odisha, each and every individual Odia
shares primary responsibilities of preserving, spreading and
protecting the core values of our culture for next generations to
benefit from. Jaya Jagannath.
