The Bangalore Puri Garib
Rath ( train No. 0869 ) is the only train at present that provides
once a week fully air-conditioned travel to economically poorer
passengers. This is a dream come true for all our Odia brothers and
sisters who work at Bangalore as day labors, cooks, security guards,
plumbers and carpenters and for all those passengers who can not
afford the expensive tickets of the fully air-conditioned super fast
express trains. Garib Rath is also called as "Poor Man's Chariot" as
it flies at max speed of 130 km/hr.
But sad to say that the only Garib Rath from Bangalore to Puri which
was introduced just a month back, is being withdrawn from November
second week. We request all Odia brothers and sisters to just spend
some time and convey their grievances and complains to the railway
higher officials requesting them to keep this train back and rather
increase the frequency from once a week to a daily train. please
