Jaya
Jagannath,
On behalf of all Odia community, we show our deepest
condolence to all those 200 Indians including about 20 security
personals from NSG commando group, police and army officials who
lost their lives in the recent Mumbai terror attack. We specially show our head bowed respect to NSG
commando Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan of Bangalore who lost his life
shielding his injured commando mate to rescue.
Karnataka lost a lion man who left all of us piercing our hearts
with grief and grievance. All we are left with now is an unbearable sting of
memory of our brave soldiers, a ghostly looking Taj Mahal palace
that suffered loss worth over 5,000 crores, ripped apart
innocent civilian bodies sprayed with bullets and grenade pellets
across the gateway of India and thus the most bitter but valuable lesson of our lifetime for our negligence
and irresponsiveness in protecting our own motherland.
Recent terror strikes in Mumbai unmasked many bitter truths of
India’s intelligence agencies, early warning systems, emergency
readiness and efficiency in counter measures.
How Can we prevent this :
• First and foremost it’s the responsibility of each and every
Indian to be honest and responsive towards our country’s security.
How can someone pierce thru navy patrol, fishermen’s network and
coast guard surveillance land at the economy capital of India
without being detected. It’s a clearly a security mishap and
irresponsiveness of all sea dwellers of India.
• Intelligence agencies should be optimum alert at all times and
should get equipped with sophisticated surveillance equipments and
sensors. All weather remote sensing satellites should be tasked with
round the clock monitoring and sensing of countries borders.
• Some kind of sensors or floating devices similar to sunami sensors
should be deployed along international water borders to sense any
and everything crossing along.
• Commando and elite forces of course not to be stationed at Delhi
only. The need is to spread them across metros. There need to be
quickest response and counter measures to such incidents. Let the
defense be independent of politicians and self decisive to such
things. Time will no way tolerate a delay of nine hours for NSG
commandos and army to reach the spot ever in life. Imagine if
instead of mere four terrorists, our enemy country would have
attacked thru Mumbai. Do we expect Mumbai police to defend the enemy
for nine hours till army arrives?
• Drones, spy planes and unmanned areal vehicles should be flown
across international border to smell out any cross border movements.
• Microbiology and Biotechnology professionals should invent
something advanced to a teargas shell that once fired upon will
suffocate the target area chocking every one for some time or even
temporarily paralyzing men at target by directly impacting their
nerve centre. The objective should be to temporarily disable
everyone at the target area for some time and then once bad guys are
picked from the target, the rest can be recovered with antidotes. If
we can have a tear gas shell designed, why can’t this ? Applying
this at such urban close combat battle, we can restore the sanctity
of our monuments and heritage and still punish the culprit.
• Police especially of top ten cities in India must be modernized
with all communication and signaling gadgets, better fire power,
instant strike capabilities, strategy makers. Engaging brave police
men with service revolver in hand against dreaded terrorists
equipped with AK 56 automatic assault rifles is unwise.
• An anti terror emergency number similar to 100, 101 and 103 should
be configured and should accessible across the country with
thousands of parallel lines and responsible people responding to it
immediately.
And here goes the first Correction
:
Home minister Shivraj Patil is thrown out of Union Govt. for his
irresponsiveness and inability to justify his designation. Ok, to
introduce Shivraj Patil, for Orissa he bears a better
identification. He was the one who was blamed during Orissa floods
for inadequate assessment, promising for half the necessity and then
providing even less than one tenth of it in reality. He came for an
aerial survey well after the flood had almost finished everything.
Responding to the state Govt. plea for 1000 crore as central help,
he promised for just 500 crore while leaving Bhubaneswar Airport and
after reaching New Delhi he forgot that too. Just threw a coin in
return. ( Synonymous : During Bihar floods apart from forcefully
snatching 3 day salaries of all salaried central Govt. employees
across India, Lalu Yadav also demanded 1500 crores and Central Govt.
home minister instantly released 1500 crores with a cute smile, of
course May be reason being lalu parts with him at the central Govt.
