Hi all,

Most of us would have known about National Skills Registry ( NSR ) : an online skills database licensed by NASCOM. It's an online database where in Software companies are getting added as Employers and compel their employees to get added as employees. Every software engineer is bound to maintain the details of his educational history, Present and permanent address,   Professional experience history and even photo graph and thumb impression. Then National Skill's registry people have several third party verifiers who verifies the correctness of the experience and educational information of the software engineer. Thus they find out who is fake and who is not and the employer lays off the employee immediately.

This idea may look great for the Software companies to eliminate fake employees as it is quite cheap ( Just Rs. 250/- ) and hassle free ( Companies need not have to do verification of their own and even need not have to pay directly to the third party verifier ), but this triggers an one side advantage of superiority among software companies who just hires and fires poor software chaps and thus disturbs the equilibrium of IT world ecosystem.

The solution to this can be a similar Web site probably named as " National Employer's Registry" ( NER ) which will be something very similar to "Great place to work List", an online employer's database maintaining information about their

1. Faithfulness ( How honest they are to an employee )

2. Sanctity ( what they promise and what they provide ),

3. Job satisfaction level ( Whether existing employees are happy )

4. Job security( How often they hire and fire employees )

5. Pay scale standards( Where the company stands in the market pay scale chart )

6. Valuing employees ( How often the company management responds to employee's grievances )

7. Truth behind their work culture( Whether planned, processed or all time breathless hard work like donkeys )

8. Internal politics ( How safe are the software engineers from back stabbing managers )

9. Partialities ( Partiality on the basis of state and gender )

10. Work load ( Whether the company just makes huge profit by making the employees work round the clock but still pays for 8 hours only )

11. Discipline ( Discipline in timing and on work stations )

12. Integrity ( If a company shows it's Six sigma or CMM certified, whether really on the project floor they follow any of these processes )

13. Facilities ( Internet at least to check personal mails once a day, Free food, Free transportation, a laptop with VPN to work from home some times )

This will help IT professionals to at least think twice before joining a company. It is seen that some times when a new offer letter comes people blindly joins a company just because they pay high, without even thinking how safe they are in the new company the next day morning. It's always advisable to enquire about the company from the left out employees and even the existing employees before joining a company. This can be also a good platform for companies to make sure that they behave honestly to all their employees to have a clean image over National Employer's Registry.

Risks with National Skill's registry ( NSR ) :

1.       As all your sensitive Information ( Permanent & present address, contact details, years of experience and even your photo ) here is visible to any one and every one people across Net who can join the same group as an employer and third party agencies too, any one can know the address details and years of experience an employee has. Of course from this information some one can estimate your package and social status too. These information are enough to trigger any antisocial element to take advantage off.

2.       Once registered into NSR, it's Impossible to delete your record from their database. Believe me it's really impossible even though you follow up for infinite times.

3.       Again the same sensitive Information ( Permanent & present address, contact details, years of experience and even your photo ) of a girl floating over Internet publicly will invite lot's of troubles to her social and cultural values.

4.       What if the company you have already worked with earlier is no more existing? The third party verification agencies associated with NSR will cheerfully put a negative comment against your name that too in bold italic red underlined. Even though your experience is all genuine, only because your previous company have changed name or been taken over. You will be suffering with a red marked record in NSR for whole of your life time. Every company will be viewing that prior to sort listing your resume. Only destination for your CVs will be "Resume Cutter".

5.       At the time of registration they will ask for digitally registering the same with your thumb impression. Your all sensitive information ( Permanent & present address, contact details, years of experience and even your photo ) details along with thumb impression can be used to create a credit card account, access personal loan or even book a foreign brand vehicle by just producing post dated cheques by any one just by preparing a fake address proof for the same. You will be of course surprised to see the first delinquency note or rowdy recovery people at your door steps for the amount spent by the person who misused your information.

6.       Any one from NSR, associated verifying agency or even from any company HR or call centre   department who are accessible to your information can sell your information to credit card, personal loan and even door to door selling sells guys.

7.       Again there is all chances for some one to harass you for money by troubling your grand parents at your permanent address.

8.       Using your finger print image and even few of your information any one can have partial access to your bank locker or treasure account.

( Requesting you to please forward this mail to all in your friend's list and to those needy people who have either laid off, lost job or troubled by any company )
