Jaya Jagannath,
POSCO, TATA, Vedant, NALCO
and other corporate giants of Orissa have flung into their
responsibilities but only limiting to the areas of their strategic
future interest. Devastating flood, shivering weather, scarcity of
food, lack of proper medical assistance.
At this point of time, we as a citizen have kept our fingers crossed
and still thinking what can we do?…this is a regular calamity and
people of Orissa must have been habitat to that. Govt will do his
job and let us do our job. We are escalating our responsibilities
and we feel forwarding the mail is the best thing I can do share the
sorrows and grieves of the people. We roar, we take but hardly
execute our responsibilities. Even some people will definitely find
the “Good Morning” mail more important than such mails which is none
of their business. Dear Friend, Silence is never a medium to
showcase our responsibilities. I can not blame such people also,
because they have never been taught about humanity rather goal and
targets are the only vision of their life. I wish those guys, all
the luck for a lonely future.
At this point I recall the quote
“There are two primary choices in life: to accept conditions as they
exist, or accept the responsibility for changing them." - Denis
Waitley
I feel glad to share that I know few people who believe in executing
their wish and feel sorry for the people who always wish but never
act upon. There are might not be aware or not have seen floods also.
I have attached few snaps to wake them up. Just ask yourself “Can
you survive in this environment for 24 hours? “ I hope the answer
will be hard to hear.
Packages, appraisals, perks, bonus, weekend lives are always roaming
in our mind. We get time to enjoy our weekend in innovative way each
time but find it pretty hard to think about people starving for
food.
With winter nearby and floods have washed away the shelters of the
victims, for us it is hard to imagine how will they survive each and
every day?
I am thankful and express my sincere gratitude to the people who
have contributed so far. At present we are doing a door to door
campaign to raise funds for the flood affected victims.
We have dared to act upon our responsibility at this crucial time
and seek all your assistance to make Orissa overcome this situation.
Apart from that people are requested to take the responsibility
individually and collect contributions from their friends and submit
it to us. This will optimize the collection process as well as we
can collect more so that the relief amount will be bigger also. The
only thing we need from your side is trust and faith on us that we
will utilize 100% of the contributed amount.
As we have a very short span of time and we are yet to cover entire
Bangalore, we are finding it difficult reach maximum area. Hence I
welcome all the area-wise volunteers as well as cooperate volunteers
also.
.
A humble request:
If
possible kindly forward the enclosed mail to Rajasthani Youth
Organization, Jain Samaj, Gujurat samaj, ISCON group, Art of living
organisation and please talk to them if they can help the people
suffering under the present flood havoc in Orissa.I t is a very grim
picture (more and more agony for more than 27 lakh people, mostly
ladies and children, covering half of Orissa ) emerging by every
passing day.
