devotees who got enrolled with our Sri Jagannath Temple construction campaign as a life member
during the tenure of Netra Utsav till Bahuda Yatra, thus becoming the
pleasant receiver of a most celestial and rich traditional gift pack
on behalf of Lord Jagannath.
Ingredients of Complementary Gift Sets :
1.
Tahia - The holy turban of
lord Jagannath ( A decorative piece of turban that is made out of
thermo coil, cane, bamboo sticks, sola pith, flowers and colors (
minimal, red and zinc, are used ) :A tiny piece of flower twig from
this is of outmost precious and is extremely difficult to gather once
royal procession ( Pahandi Bije ) is over.
2.
A tiny piece of the chariot wood :
This comes from an extra piece of wood that s attached just at back of
the stage on which the three deities seat. The purpose is to make use
of the same during the ritual when Goddes Laxmi will be breaking it
and later that wooden plank will be distributed among few very special
devotees and sevayats.
3.
A little of the Kapiketana Bana
( The flag ), this of course becomes the
most wanted amenity that needs to be removed from the chariot and even
as little as a thread of it also is of high demand by devotees.
4.
Nirmalya : The dried pellets
from the deity's prasadam, that s world famous with the name Abadha (
due to one of the features of not being served at any time )
5.
Dhanda Tulasi
: The well-known
Indian Sacred Basil offer to the three deities as a part of his daily
rituals.
6.
Chariot Rope : Yes a tiny
section of the Ratha Daudi from the first ever Rath Yatra becomes a
priceless and precious amenity for devotees once it s tied with the
divine chariot.
