With a fresh year calling at doorsteps, let’s all of us
tailor a smarter resolution to fine tune our life styles with the
year ahead. Let us be men of that extreme potential that can shake
awake Darwin and compel him to re-formulate his theory. Let us
sharpen our social skills of responsiveness, mould our
intellectuality, think beyond the horizon, align with innovative
thinking and deliver a master plan to reform our motherland. Let us
plan for a catalytic growth and a well tailored plan of action for
economic reformation. As all of us are pride descendents of our
motherland, it is not the only responsibility of our government to
care for the state but the accountability also lies with each one of
us. So start sketching out your gift package of dos and Don’ts for
the year ahead with a set of value added resolutions.
Ideas that can mould the fate of our state
:
Inspired by keen interest from CM’s office, we had started a
campaign to gather ideas and opinions from professionals across
wings and fins of the society. We have received feedbacks of all
tastes and flavors. Briefing below the ones those were eye opening.
All of us have one or the other unique qualities displaying which we
can bring in value addition to our governance back home. Let us
trigger that horse power inside us and start the josh machine to
consistently lend a helping hand to the planners, bureaucrats and
intellectuals back home. Let our conscience reinforce our action.
Suggestion 1 : Clustering Intellectuals
Today all corners of earth have foot prints of Oriya Professionals,
Intellectuals and scholars, bureaucrats. Each of them have adequate
potential that they will be pleased to invest for their motherland.
All it needs is a common platform to bind them into a talent pool.
Let’s welcome Veterans like retired principals and deans of major
Engineering colleges and Universities, managers of Public sectors,
planning commission and IAS officers to bring in their expertise
here.
Responsibility : CM should form a central team similar to Team
Orissa ( or even can extend their goals and objectives ) and direct
them to drive a massive talent hunt across the world. Odia
professionals across the globe should help identify intellectual
thinkers and recommend their names to Team Orissa. Team Orissa
should discuss with them about the whole concept and upon their
interest should add them to a group mailing list segment.
Suggestion 2 : Identifying critical areas of
improvement
Although Orissa is developing as a whole, but still substantial
improvement is not noticed in certain areas. And thus we are unable
to properly manage and administer at crunch times of disaster or
catastrophe. Few gray segments of immediate attention are
Corruption, Communal violence, Prevention of Flood and Cyclone,
Crime detection & Correction, Alternate power solutions. Apart from
these there are major areas to be sustained with consistency are
Education infrastructure, Economic reformation, Industrialization,
Health, Agriculture, Railways, Culture & heritage and many such
areas.
Responsibility : Each and every oriya must think and identify these
and then suggest the same to the central team. Central team must
assemble all ideas and segregate into headings and bullet points.
Suggestion 3 : Framing segment hubs
All the critical areas once identified must be bunched into
functional hubs. Intellectuals, Scholars, bureaucrats identified
across the world should then be grouped into sets of primary
resources caring for a particular functional hub. They should spend
ample time studying the current system, identifying the areas of
improvement and then come up with reports, white papers and
suggestion thesis, critique over how to drive and develop that area
towards peak. Let them spread these on group IDs so that people
across the world discuss over it’s pros and cons and then justify
it’s suitability for implementation.
Responsibility : Everyone involved.
Suggestion 4 : Channelizing and Bridging the
two hemispheres
All independent groups and NGOs of Orissa should work towards this.
They should think upon how to channelize and bridge the two
hemispheres ( bureaucrats, intellectuals, scholars at one end and
the Government in the other end ) in such scenario .
Responsibility : All NGOs and independent non government groups who
wish to work for Orissa.
Suggestion 5 : Adding the best value
Any oriya around the world should observe and identify the best of
the vicinity over there and evaluate the feasibility of the same in
Orissa. They need to proactively talk to experts from different
fields and get ideas in these areas before making their reports. Ask yourselves why can’t Orissa have
sunami early warning system like Japan and US, flood control mechanism
like Netherlands, Wind mills like Denmark, Crime control mechanism
like that of Germany or US, Earth quake resistance provisions like
Japan, corruption control like Dubai, Agriculture like China or
railway network like the rest of India. Why can’t Orissa have a full
scale e-governance, e-ticketing, e-billing, e-ticketing, e-griculture,
e-grievance and all that possible towards a hassle free world.
Responsibility : The answer is as simple as it is. Probably may of
us have never tried to realize our duties and responsibilities in
making our mother land glory. We have come out of Orissa to enjoy
the best of the world, but have never thought to make our mother
land the best in the world.
Can't we stop the conventional and traditional decade
long corruption of lower class Govt. employees at every cross roads
of life. Rather than just carelessly voting once in 5 years to some unknown
person and then cursing & complaining the Govt. for not doing as per
our expectations, let’s actively participate in reforming the state
by helping out an honest ruler. At least we all are lucky that after
60 years of darkness, we have got a leader for our motherland who is
doing so many things. Let’s all help him in anything and everything
possible so that he keeps our state rolling over progress lines and
make an universal definition of development.
