Rath Yatra, the
spectacular annual bash of Lord Jagannath is just four days away.
Sri Jagannath Temple trust welcomes each and every devotees to come
and celebrate this mega event with Jagatara Natha Prabhu Sri
Jagannatha. Sri Jagannath Temple welcomes you to Be a Pride life
member during this auspicious Rath Yatra tenute and thus merge with
the lotus feet being the most special devotee during the most
special days of the year.
Important notes :
• Dress Code, Rath Yatra timings : We
request all devotees to please wear ethnic dress on Rath Yatra.
Please be present at the temple premises by 11 AM. Those who are in
profession, Please take leave for that special day. Those who are
coming by their own vehicles, Please get acknowledged with the
parking plan for that day. Vehicles not at designated parking area
are vulnerable to police tow. Those who wish to come by BMTC, please
get informed about the Bus Routes and navigations.
• Tahia Preparation : During Rath Yatra
celebrations Lord Jagannath wears no precious jewellery, except a
special Tahia ( A decorative piece of turban that is made out of
thermo coil, cane, bamboo sticks, sola pith, flowers and colors (
minimal, red and zinc, are used ), flowers, made of sola pith, are
also used, apart from jasmine and kadamba flowers at the top of
Tahia. is placed on the Lord's head while he is being taken from the
temple to the chariot and vice-versa. Please join us to prepare a
spectacular Tahia. Please contact Sri Siba Ram Baral at 9845760848.
• Trial run of the chariot and Briefing of the
master plan and strategy to Volunteer : Please join us as a
volunteer to perform trial run of the Chariot, briefing on
operations and responsibilities delegations , Volunteer positioning
plan, instructions about controlled chariot pulling, managing
donations and devotees, crowd control techniques, evacuation and
rescue planning, handling thefts and accidents, firefighting,
disaster and threat management.
• Volunteers for miscellaneous pending tasks:
Requesting young volunteers to do SEVA activities at Sri Jagannath
temple and Mausi Maa temple for all the miscellaneous pending
activities. Please spend this week end with us at the temple and at
last to have an inspection cross check up of every minute
arrangements for final confirmation.
• Collection of contact details: Please
spend some time to gather Contact details and Email IDs of temples
and religious organizations. As a formality we must invite all
spiritual, religious and cultural bodies for this Rath Yatra.
Personally let us collect contacts of friends, colleagues, neighbors
and invite them for this mega event. Those who are at apartments
please send a mail to your association group mail id. Let us also
ensure we do not miss out Inviting to all economically privileged
class people ( Day labors, cooks, security guards, plumbers ) in our
neighborhood.
• Precautions : please avoid possessing
jewellery, costly mobile phones, electronic gadgets, heavy cash,
inflammable items, non vegetarian food, ammunition, fire arms,
hazardous chemicals with you.
• Account settlement : Devotees,
Committee members those who have receipt books and donation boxes
with them at present, please deposit the same at temple, get the
same updated in our temple accounts and again take back.
