Rath Yatra the world festivity awaits your presence and participation

A heart full of news for all devotees of Lord Jagannath. With descent cloud over head, cooling breeze from east and greenery all round, Sri. Jagannath Temples all over the world are all set to celebrate the most awaited majestic grand festivity of Rath Yatra. The tedium sit for almost an year by the beloved lords has at last come to an end with right time to relax and enjoy a ceremonial pleasant chariot ride to Mausi Maa temple.

Whenever we are in trouble and remembered Lord Jagannath, he has never compromised in attending to our plea, He has instantly appeared and wiped out all our troubles & pain and blessed us with much more than everything that we asked. Now the time has come for us to show an equivalent uncompromised devotion and fidelity towards him in return. So the days count on us. Next few weeks will bring in festivities like

• Netra Utsav ( 11th July )
• Sri Gundicha Rath Yatra ( 13th July )
• Hera Panchami ( 17th July )
• Bahuda Yatra ( 21st July )
• Suna Vesha ( 22nd July )

Requesting all the devotees to participate in this event with optimum of their devotion and loyality. A wishful request to please contribute towards Rath Yatra expenditure and Join the volunteers group for Decoration of the Chariot, preparation of golden broom and Tahia ( A decorative piece of crown that is made out of thermo coil, cane, bamboo sticks, sola pith, flowers and colors ( minimal, red and zinc, are used ). Let us make an eye catching, charming, gorgeous tahia that the lord will get stunned at.

To Do Check List for Devotees:

1. Apply for leave for 13th and 21st July : Please apply for leave in advance for 13th and 21st of July.

2. Emails, calls, SMSs and Words of mouth Campaign and friendly reminders : Request you to please spread the news of grand festivity Rath Yatra and all associated festivities thru all means to everyone in your friend circle, interested colleagues and relatives. Let’s trigger a quick chain of mails, calls and SMSs to all in our address book and do the same frequently so as to ensure no one misses this world celebration. Sending a mail or telling once is not just enough unless we give timely reminders too.

3. On the festivity day please have precaution against Pick pockets, shoe lifters, cell phone & camera stealers. Please do not wear costly shoes and have loaded wallets or vanity bags. Please avoid keeping a hefty violet with lot’s of credit and debit cards apart from currency. Be careful about your cell phone, cameras and other electronic gadgets.

4. Dress code for devotees : We appreciate a cute well dressed traditional ethnic outfit on Rath Yatra. Sister devotees are requested not to put on gorgeous or indecent cloths, costly ornaments on that day.

Hope this Rath Yatra triggers another wave of value added communal identity and covalent bonding of universal brotherhood to all the clusters of non residential Odians across the world. Jaya Jagannath.
