So to start with, Sri Jagannath Temple on behalf of Jagatara Natha
Lord Jagannath invites you to Sri Jagannath Temple Bangalore on
behalf of Sri Deba Snana Purnima, the most spectacular Royal bathing
ceremony of Lord Jagannath.
Please come and be privileged with giving bath to the deities by
pouring water on the three deities with holy Sankalpa Pitcher (
Kumbha ). Be one among those sacred 108 early comers to bath Lord
Jagannath, Devi Subhadra and Lord Balabhadra with water from holy
pitchers. Snana Purnima is the day the deities are bathed with 108
pitchers of water and then dress up in the Gajanana or Ganesha Besha.
This is the only day when even their daily food offering or
Bhogalagi is done in full public view on the Snanamandapa. Their
remains no virtual difference between the Lord and a common man.
After the holy bath as per tradition, Lord Jagannath Will fall sick
and will be concealed inside a closed room ( Anasara Ghara ) for 15
days till Rath Yatra. Hence please come and participate the Jala
Abhisheka ritual at Sri Jagannath Temple and have the last darshan
of Lord Jagannath.
