Miscellaneous outstanding invested in Orissa at a growth of 34
percent worth to Rs. 799291 crores.
Current implementation underway for project proposals worth of
Rs.3,06,575 crore.
8 power mega power projects in the state worth Rs. 380747 crores.
Construction of Tala Hydroelectric Project(one amongst the largest
hydel power projects in the world).
Airports : Apart from Biju Patnaik International airport,
Construction of 13 airstrips and 16 helipads.
Ports : Apart from Paradeep and Gopalpur 13 ports Ports at costs
of Rs. 21030 crores at Dhamra, Chudamani ( Bhadrak ), Inchuri,
Chandipur, Bahabalpur, Kirtania ( Balasore ), Palur, Bahuda muhan (
Ganjam ), Bali-Harichandi, Astarang ( Puri ), Jatadhar Muhan (
Jagatsinghpur ).
Against just 30 crore worth railway expenditure during 1996, A
budget total of 1000 crores of investment with East Coast railway
headquartering from Bhubaneswar.
43.7 percent growth in mineral productions boosting revenue growth
up to 212.5% more than the figures during 1998.
Industrial corridor : emergence of Kalinga Nagar, Jharsuguda,
fringes of Rourkela, Barbil Keonjhor region, Sambalpur anugul

Formation of
Team Orissa that architected Orissa as a world investment
destination by Simplification of procedures and fast track
investment solutions.
Renewal of fisheries scheme have laid to 325449.21 tonnes of Fish
production out of which 179739.94 tonnes of fresh water and
122213.87 tonnes of marine production.
Total investment on Road construction is Rs. 4069 crores. The road
length in the State was 2.37 lakh km. in 2004-05. At the end of
2004-05, total railway route length in Orissa was 2287 km. including
91 km. of narrow gauge railway.
